Secret Beach Picnic Ride

This ride is ideal for families and small groups and includes the best of our other rides. After riding for about an hour, you can dismount to relax and explore the beaches while your trail guide prepares your custom picnic lunch of deli sandwiches, chips and and refreshments.

WE RIDE IN A VERY REMOTE AREA

  • This Activity IS NOT suitable for Individuals who are Mentally or Physically Challenged. Safety and your Experience is our Top Priority.
  • Horseback riding requires mental stability, physical strength and endurance.
  • We DO NOT recommend this activity for those with recent or ongoing back, neck, hip, knee or shoulder injuries or problems with balance or equilibrium.
  • For your safety, no pregnant mothers. Consult with your Doctor should you have any other concerns.
  • To be able to ride on this strenuous adventure, you MUST be physically and mentally capable, with balance. We reserve the right to deny anyone who doesn’t meet these requirements, out of concern for your own safety, as well as the safety of others on the trail ride and the horses.

What to wear and bring:

  • Covered/closed-toe shoes
  • Long pants are recommended, but shorts are acceptable.
  • Sunscreen
  • Water and other beverages available for purchase
  • Small camera — NO SELFIE STICKS PLEASE!
  • Backpacks, ponchos, and rain gear are NOT allowed on tours.
  • We have small saddlebags where you can store a small camera and a bottle of water.

Please note: Swimming is prohibited since the reef break makes it dangerous

CJM stable Kauai, Hawaii horseback riding

Excellent and fun ride on horses to see the beautiful scenery of Kauai. We did the picnic ride and enjoyed the stop near the beach for our lunch. The horses were very well mannered and our guide was great. I would love to do it again if we go back to Kauai.

Fabulous scenery. Even better staff

They explained everything so well and treated us all with respect no matter what our riding experience. The lunch was very tasty and the view at Secret Beach was breathtaking. Well worth the price!

A Must do!

The owner and guide were very knowledgeable about horses and the riders abilities in pairing who would ride each horse. I enjoyed the walk ride I was on and the views were incredible! Our guide (Brittany) was super caring about all having a good ride and checking on everyone. Would highly recommend doing this!

Best Ride

CJM. What a great place funny and friendly folks, the trail ride was awsome along the coast by ocean. Beautiful. Our guild was great (Brittany) and the staff funny. I would highly recommend this place. Will be our go to spot when we return.

Lovely Ocean Views

Whenever the family visits Kauai, our first excursion is the CJM Country Stables. My son who is now in his thirties has been nervous about riding horses because of a bad experience when he was a child. After he rode the many trails at CJM under the expert guidance with Robert Davis, my son looks forward to his rides. The ocean and inland views are beautiful; and we still get to go across the beach path and enjoy the gorgeous blue water. The Staff are very welcoming and kind.
