Meet Jimmy Miranda: Big Island Champion Paniolo from Kukaiou Ranch
This excursion is perfect for the vacationing experienced Roper who needs a quick Roping fix!
Come hang out with the owner & Ohana! Jimmy Miranda is a 4th generation Paniolo, (Hawaiian Cowboy). Jimmy was born and raised on Kukaiou Ranch on the Island of Hawaii (Big Island). He holds many championship titles from Team Roping, Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc and Barrel Racing just to name a few.
This excursion includes one hour practice session in our rodeo arena on live steers and the hot heels. Plan on being at the ranch for at least two hours. We will talk story, rope the Jake steer, and select the best Head or Heel Horse based on your experience level . Then you will help catch, groom and saddle. BYOR (bring your own rope) or one can be provided for you. After your practice session, head back up to the barn to unsaddle and talk story with the Ohana. Your family and friends are welcome to come watch. Where else can you sit on the rodeo bleachers and possibly see the whales breach while watching some team roping practice! This schedule can be customized!
